Burrator Reservoir is a large scenic reservoir on Dartmoor near Yelverton and is a popular stopping point for visitors with fine views and good walking around the lake and up to nearby tors such as Sheeps Tor. Photos from a bright afternoon in late May.
Bantham Sand is a popular surfing beach below the mouth of the River Avon in South Devon. There are fine views looking east to Bigbury and Burgh Island. There is also good coast path walking south to Broad Sand, Yarmouth Sand and Leas Foot Sand (as shown in these photos) and further south to Thurlestone and Hope Cove. Hollicombe and Livermead are two nice beaches north of Paignton. They are usually fairly quiet due to lack of parking. Photos from a late August morning. Also photos from the afternoon at Trenchard and Tottiford Lakes, which are two lakes on Dartmoor, north of Bovey Tracey. There are nice walks around these two lakes.
Paignton is a nice seaside resort town in Devon with a nice sandy beach, promenade pier and harbour. There is also good walking south to Goodringtons Sands and the coast path can be followed south to Brixham.
