From Padstow there is good coast path walking to Stepper Point and at low tide there is a suberb stretch of sand from St Georges Cove to Hawkers Cove. Photos from the last day in April, a nice sunny day on the north Cornwall coast but very windy. Flags are flying at Padstow for Obby Oss Day.
Seaton Beach is a grey sand beach on the South East Cornwall coast. At low tide the beach can be walked to Downderry Beach. Photos from a sunny Saturday morning in September.
Wistmans Wood is a small woodland comprised of dwarf oaks on the bank of the West Dart River on Dartmoor. The woodland can be reached by walking from Two Bridges along the West Dart valley and there are fine views along the valley. Longaford Tor and Littaford Tors are a short distance above Wistmans Wood. Photos from a fine Friday, on the first day of September.
St Germans is a large village in South East Cornwall. There is an impressive Norman church and shops and pub. There is also a riverside walk by the River Tiddy to St Germans Quay and there are fine views of the estuary and the impressive viaduct. Photos from a sunny and warm Sunday morning in late August.
