Lands End is England’s most westerly point and is a great place to visit with impressive coastal scenery. Sennen Cove is a picturesque sandy cove, a few miles from Lands End on the coast path. Photos from a beautiful day in mid June.
Lympstone is a small village on the east bank of the river Exe in East Devon. There is a small harbour and on the water front is the unusual clock tower called “Peters Tower”. The plaque on the clock states the following :- “This CLOCK-TOWER was erected in 1885 by W.H.PETERS of Harefield in Memory of his beloved wife MARY JANE to commemorate her kindness and sympathy for the poor of Lympstone.” The tower is now a holiday let.
Stanbury Mouth is a pebble beach (with sand at low tide), a few miles north of Bude on the North Cornwall coast. Photos from Thursday afternoon.
Bude is a seaside resort town in North Cornwall. There is a super beach called Summerleaze Beach which at low tide stretches north to Crooklets Beach (shown in these photos) and further north to Northcott Mouth and Sandymouth. There is also good walking along the Bude Canal. Photos from a super Thursday in late May.
